what heals a tired soul? drag queens in london, that's fockin' what mate. tonight is going to heal my tired soul, and yours: i'm going to do a TINY TINY pop-up gig with a bunch of london queens called "WHO DRAGGED AMANDA PALMER" tonight at Her Cabaret, co-presented by Queer Goes Nothing. the joint only holds about 100 people and most of the tickets were snapped up by my patreon who got first crack.
i don't know exactly what i'm going to play, probably an assortment of old and new (and we've got a crazy ketboard, and a ukulele) but i may go for broke and have a karoake party. so bring requests. last time i did that. in poland, i wound up singing a lady gaga song VERY BADLY. i was quite tipsy.
we will try to do a little streaming during the show!!! probably from periscope so if you wanna see, get on my twitter and turn on notifications (i'm @amandapalmer).
meanwhile, this is my excuse to post this FABULOUS picture of taylor mac - who is totally american - outside THE VERY AMERICAN CHURCH I WENT TO AS A CHILD in very american lexington massachusetts on the morning of the re-enactment of the very american lexington green battle because, well, it's my favorite picture i took this year.
....AND this is all a reminder to GET ON THE PATREON stat so you can get tickets to all and any of the weird-ass little things/events/whatnots that i'm going to be doing in the year to come. you can join for as little as $1/month - that's $12 a year, mate, less than the cost of an old-fashioned CD in 2004. if you are the type of person who would have bought an old-fashioned CD from me or the dresden dolls in 2004 to see what i was up to, please, please....support the patreon. it's how things are gonna work since guess what nobody is really consistently buying CDs anymore. future is here.
i'm currently at 11,103 patrons, which means I WILL SOON HAVE 11,111 PATRONS WHICH MEANS I CAN FEEL JOY.
so yeah, do it now while you're feeling wholesome:
if you're already on my patreon: THANK YOU. this year is going to sleigh!!!!!!!
see some of you tonight.
